How GGWaypoint handles contact messages, hosting data, cookies and privacy requests.

Operator and contact
GGWaypoint is an independent gaming publication. Privacy questions and requests can be submitted through the contact form by selecting “Privacy request.”
Contact form information
If you use the contact form, GGWaypoint stores your name, email address, selected topic and message in a private WordPress inbox so the enquiry can be reviewed and answered. Please do not include sensitive information. Messages are scheduled for deletion after 30 days; deletion runs when WordPress scheduled tasks execute. Copies may remain in website backups until those backups expire.
Abuse prevention and server logs
A short-lived hashed key based on the submitting IP address and email is used to limit repeated form submissions for one minute. The site is hosted by Hostinger, which may process IP addresses, request details and error information in technical logs needed to provide and secure the hosting service.
Cookies and external links
GGWaypoint currently does not add analytics, advertising or marketing cookies. WordPress uses functional cookies for signed-in administrators, and the hosting or security systems may use cookies that are necessary to operate and protect the website. Following a link to another site takes you to that site’s own privacy practices.
Sharing and retention
Contact information is not sold. It is processed only to operate the site, protect it from abuse and handle the enquiry, including by hosting providers that support the website. Contact messages are scheduled for deletion after 30 days, subject to backup expiry and any legal need to retain a record.
Requests and contact
Use the contact form and select “Privacy request” to ask for access to, correction of or deletion of a message you submitted. Enough information may be needed to identify the submission and verify the request.
Future analytics or advertising
If analytics, advertising or affiliate services are added, this notice will be updated and any required consent controls will be put in place before those services begin collecting information.
