How GGWaypoint handles contact messages, hosting data, cookies and privacy requests.

Operator and contact
GGWaypoint is an independent gaming publication. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to privacy@ggwaypoint.com or submitted through the contact form by selecting “Privacy request.”
Contact form information
If you use the contact form, GGWaypoint stores your name, email address, selected topic and message in a private WordPress inbox so the enquiry can be reviewed and answered. Please do not include sensitive information. Messages are scheduled for deletion after 30 days; deletion runs when WordPress scheduled tasks execute. Copies may remain in website backups until those backups expire.
Users may optionally attach a screenshot when contacting GGWaypoint. We use it only to review and respond to the enquiry. The screenshot is sent as part of the contact communication, is not added to the public WordPress Media Library, and is not given a permanent public URL.
Abuse prevention and server logs
A short-lived hashed key based on the submitting IP address and email is used to limit repeated form submissions for one minute. The site is hosted by Hostinger, which may process IP addresses, request details and error information in technical logs needed to provide and secure the hosting service.
Analytics and cookies
GGWaypoint uses Google Analytics through Google Site Kit to understand aggregate website usage, such as pages viewed, device and browser information, approximate location and interactions with site content. Google Consent Mode is configured so analytics storage is denied where consent is required until you accept statistics cookies. Google may still receive limited consent-state and technical signals in accordance with Consent Mode.
We use Metricool to measure website visits and compare website performance with our social channels. Metricool may process information associated with a visit, such as the page viewed, referrer, device or display information and approximate geographic location. Our Metricool website integration does not set tracking cookies or use Local Storage, does not assign a persistent visitor identifier, and loads only after analytics/statistics consent through Complianz.
Complianz provides the consent banner and controls optional cookies and third-party services. WordPress uses functional cookies for signed-in administrators, while hosting and security systems may use cookies that are necessary to operate and protect the website. The site also uses Google Fonts; external font requests are controlled by the consent configuration. See the Cookie Policy for current cookie categories, purposes and retention details.
Sharing and retention
Contact information is not sold. It is processed only to operate the site, protect it from abuse and handle enquiries. Service providers that support these functions include Hostinger for hosting and Google for analytics and related services. Contact messages are scheduled for deletion after 30 days, subject to backup expiry and any legal need to retain a record. Analytics retention is managed within the connected Google Analytics property.

Following a link to another website takes you to that site’s own privacy practices. GGWaypoint is not responsible for how external websites process information.
Requests and contact
Email privacy@ggwaypoint.com or use the contact form and select “Privacy request” to ask for access to, correction of or deletion of information you submitted. Enough information may be needed to identify the submission and verify the request.
Advertising and affiliates
GGWaypoint does not currently use advertising or affiliate tracking cookies. This notice and the consent configuration will be updated before any such services begin collecting information.
