How to use the GGWaypoint database

Search for a name, then choose a type

The database search accepts part of a title or a term in the record text. Try “Jason”, “Vice City” or “Cheetah”. You can also choose characters, locations, vehicles or weapons. Search results show a short summary before you open the full record.

Read the evidence status

“Officially named” means the source names that person, place or item. It is a narrow label. It does not mean that GGWaypoint has tested every mechanic associated with the entry, or that the record is an exhaustive biography or specification.

Check the date and the source

The fact-check date records when the supporting material was reviewed for this entry. It is different from a game release date and different from the date a reader opens the page. The source link lets you inspect the context rather than relying on a label alone.

Understand unknown values

An explicit “Not verified” is preferable to a plausible-looking number. For vehicles, we keep price and measured speed separate from the model name and availability. For places, a named region is not a verified coordinate. For characters, a published role is not a prediction of the ending.

Help improve a record

Use the contact form to send the record title, the detail you think is wrong and a link supporting the correction. A precise correction is easier to review than a broad claim that a whole page is outdated. Do not include private account information or someone else’s personal data.

The aim is a reference collection that becomes more useful as its evidence grows. We will add entries because there is something reliable to record, not simply to increase the page count.
