GTA 6 PC release: what Rockstar has actually announced
Check the official GTA 6 PC release status, the details Rockstar has not announced, and how to avoid fake dates, keys, and requirements.

GTA 6 PC release: the official status
There is no announced GTA 6 PC release date on Rockstar’s official Grand Theft Auto VI page as of 5 September 2026. The current product and pre-order material lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for the 19 November 2026 launch. Rockstar Support describes editions, codes, regions, and pre-loading for those console platforms.
This is a status answer, not a prediction that a PC version will never exist. Rockstar has released previous games on PC, but a pattern from another launch cannot supply a date, specification, price, storefront, or feature list for Grand Theft Auto VI.
What would count as an official PC announcement?
GGWaypoint will treat PC as announced only when Rockstar publishes or links to a PC product page, Newswire post, Support document, store listing, or attributable statement that names the platform and timing. A retailer placeholder, third-party report, job listing, or comparison with earlier Rockstar launches is not confirmation.
What Rockstar has not announced for GTA 6 on PC
- No PC release date or launch window.
- No minimum or recommended system requirements.
- No confirmed PC storefronts or pre-order page.
- No PC price, edition comparison, or pre-load schedule.
- No official statement about cross-save, cross-play, mods, ultrawide support, or PC-specific graphics features.
A trailer captured from a console build cannot answer those questions. Rockstar’s current extended-look presentation is described as in-game PlayStation 5 footage. It shows the game, not a hidden PC specification.
How to avoid fake GTA 6 PC dates and store listings
Search results can combine retailer placeholders, database estimates, social-media posts, and old articles. Before treating a page as a PC announcement, check whether Rockstar links to it, whether the page identifies Rockstar as the publisher, and whether it offers a real product on a named store rather than a “notify me” form.
Do not pay for an account, key, reservation, or unofficial “early access” offer tied to an unannounced PC version. A legitimate future listing should provide regional terms, an edition, a supported storefront, and publisher confirmation. If one of those is missing, keep your payment information out of the page.
How PC players can prepare without inventing requirements
- Follow the official-update sources rather than date aggregators.
- Wait for Rockstar to publish a PC product page and system requirements.
- Do not buy hardware for an estimated specification presented as fact.
- Keep platform accounts secure and enable two-factor authentication where available.
- Compare the final requirements with your actual resolution and performance target.
When Rockstar announces a GTA 6 PC release, this page will be updated with the announcement date, launch timing, stores, editions, requirements, and any differences supported by the primary source. The fact-check date at the top and source list below will show when the answer changed.
Hardware advice will follow the same rule. Minimum requirements tell you whether a configuration is supported; recommended requirements usually target a particular experience but may not cover every resolution or frame-rate goal. Once official requirements exist, we will explain the target and separate publisher specifications from independent performance testing.
Why this page does not estimate a date
A guessed year can attract clicks but creates a false deadline for readers planning upgrades or purchases. Different Rockstar titles have followed different release schedules, and development requirements can change. “Not announced” is currently the most accurate answer and leaves room for a future official update.
For the confirmed console date and pre-load timing, use our release date guide. For edition differences, use the GTA 6 editions comparison.
