GTA 6 official updates: where to follow the announcements
A source-first route to trailers, release information and support details.

Start at Rockstar’s GTA VI page
The official game page brings together the current release information, videos and links to further material. As checked on 30 August 2026, it features “An Extended Look” alongside Trailer 1 and Trailer 2. This article points you to the source; it does not claim a frame-by-frame analysis of footage we have not reviewed.
Use different sources for different questions
- The game page is the starting point for the current announcement and presentation.
- Rockstar Support is the place to check editions, purchase formats and platform details.
- The official character and location presentation is the basis of our initial database.
A social post can alert you to an update, but following the underlying link gives you the fuller context and makes later corrections easier to spot.
Watch for three common mix-ups
First, an old headline can circulate after its information changes. Second, a fan interpretation can be repeated without its original uncertainty. Third, an item pictured in promotional artwork can be treated as a fully documented game mechanic. None of those shortcuts is a substitute for checking the source.
How GGWaypoint follows up
Our articles attach source links and a fact-check date. Where a topic is not yet verified, we leave the limit visible rather than inventing an answer. Use the starter guide for an overview or the database for a named entry.
If an official page changes, send the new link with the article or record title. That gives us a specific update to review.
