GTA 6 official media: the current library

Rockstar maintains an official GTA VI media library containing trailers and video presentations, character clips, a live screenshot library, separate edition galleries, artwork and wallpapers. This page is the dated source index: it points to Rockstar’s originals and explains what each release establishes without turning individual images into unsupported gameplay claims.

This page is a dated editorial index, not a mirror of every file. It links to Rockstar’s originals and explains what each major release establishes. GGWaypoint does not host leaked footage, fan-made maps or reuploaded screenshots when a primary Rockstar source exists.

Library snapshot — verified 5 September 2026: Rockstar lists 3 long-form videos, 9 downloadable clips, 99 core screenshots, 51 Ultimate Edition screenshots, 12 Vintage Vice City Pack screenshots, and 22 artwork and wallpaper downloads. These counts describe the live Rockstar library on the verification date and may change when Rockstar adds material.

Official GTA 6 trailers and video presentations

Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look — 27 August 2026

Rockstar describes this 26:48 presentation as captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5. It is the most detailed official in-game presentation currently available, but it is still an edited presentation rather than documentation of every system.

Watch An Extended Look on Rockstar Games, use the gameplay pillar for evergreen system claims, or read GGWaypoint’s timestamped GTA 6 Extended Look analysis for what the presentation visibly establishes and what remains unknown.

Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 2 — 6 May 2025

Trailer 2 expanded the official presentation of Jason, Lucia, Vice City and the wider Leonida setting. Rockstar lists the video at 2 minutes 47 seconds. Use the official video rather than a cropped repost when checking a visual claim.

Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 1 — 4 December 2023

Trailer 1 introduced Rockstar’s first public GTA VI video presentation, establishing the modern Vice City and Leonida setting and the central Jason-and-Lucia story context later expanded by Rockstar. The official runtime is 1 minute 31 seconds.

Official character and cover-art clips

Rockstar’s media page lists an Official Cover Art Animation plus individual downloadable clips for Jason Duval, Lucia Caminos, Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder.

The clips support identity and presentation claims about those named characters. They do not establish a playable roster, mission order or character-switching system. Browse the GTA 6 characters hub for source-linked summaries, or use the Jason and Lucia story explainer for the central narrative setup.

Official GTA 6 screenshots

Rockstar maintains an official screenshot library organized around Jason and Lucia, individual character sets, Vice City, Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Grassrivers and Mount Kalaga National Park. The live library should be treated as the current inventory rather than reduced to a fixed total.

The same area separates edition galleries from the main screenshot library. Those galleries provide official names for selected vehicles, weapons, styles, shops and activity locations. An image can prove that Rockstar published an asset under a name; it does not automatically confirm a full base-game mechanic, price, ownership model or acquisition route.

Official artwork, wallpapers and postcards

Rockstar’s artwork and wallpaper library includes official cover art, several Jason-and-Lucia pieces, a motel image, character artwork, and postcards for Vice City, Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Grassrivers and Mount Kalaga National Park.

Artwork can establish official branding, names and the subjects Rockstar chose to present. It should not be treated as a measured map or as proof of a gameplay system. Browse Rockstar’s official GTA VI artwork and wallpapers.

What each major media release actually established

  • Trailer 1: the first official moving-image presentation of the modern Vice City and Leonida setting and the central pair.
  • Trailer 2 and Only in Leonida: a broader named cast, six regional anchors and more source material for character and location references.
  • An Extended Look: Rockstar’s first long-form in-game presentation, showing Jason and Lucia together and apart across story, police, combat, travel and open-world scenes. The linked GGWaypoint analysis owns the timestamped breakdown; this page remains the source-library and chronology owner.
  • Official screenshots: named visual evidence for characters, locations and selected edition content.
  • Artwork and postcards: official presentation art for the main pair, supporting cast and the six named regions.

What the library still does not establish includes the final map boundaries, every enterable interior, a complete mission or vehicle list, GTA Online details, PC requirements and the rules behind every business or activity shown.

Material change log

5 SEPTEMBER 2026 · BASELINE CREATED

Public tracking starts here

GGWaypoint created this public material-change baseline from Rockstar’s official GTA VI pages and dated Newswire releases. The reveal timeline above records major earlier releases, but this log does not claim to reconstruct every historical page edit, temporary count or removed item before the baseline date.

Future entries will record only material changes to official facts, source availability, evidence boundaries or the canonical Rockstar record.

Timeline methodology

An event enters the reveal timeline when a Rockstar-controlled source materially adds or changes the public GTA VI record: a release date or platform, a numbered trailer or long-form presentation, a substantial official media set, or dated pre-order and edition information.

The material change log is narrower. It records later changes that affect a fact, a source, availability, an evidence classification or the canonical source path. Cosmetic edits, reposts, rumors, leaks, fan reconstructions and ordinary GGWaypoint copy edits are excluded.

GGWaypoint applies four evidence states throughout: OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED, SHOWN IN OFFICIAL MATERIAL, EDITORIAL INTERPRETATION and UNKNOWN / NOT CONFIRMED. A visual appearance is not automatically proof of a broader mechanic or final game rule.

Rockstar sources and verification

Last verified: 5 September 2026. Counts above are a dated snapshot; GGWaypoint links to Rockstar’s live categories as the current source of truth.

Readable names documented from official frames

GGWaypoint’s source records document visible names such as Hotel Dixon, NINE1NINE, Sahara Arena, Sinfrontera National Bank, Starlet Motel, The Rusty Anchor and Thrillbilly Mud Club. Each remains labeled SHOWN and includes an exact official screenshot or trailer locator.
